The "Spirit of Michoacán" collection was created in collaboration with masters of Purepecha crafts and dance, with the purpose of celebrating the cultural values and natural beauty of our state. This collection was also exhibited before thousands of spectators in the most important plazas of the region, amidst the rise of self-defense movements, political changes, and during one of the most violent periods in modern history in Michoacán, occurring between the years 2009 and 2015. Thanks to its artistic aesthetics and the format of public art exhibition, it marked a before-and-after moment in the visual promotion of Purepecha crafts and traditions, generating a visual trend that can be recognized in the photographic compositions of contemporary authors. The collection remains with a unique character, distinguished by the complexity of its compositions, and has no equivalent in the national territory.
